This Privacy Policy explains how motomotos (“the App”, “we”, “us”) handles information when you use the Mac application and this website.

1. Summary

motomotos is designed to run locally on your Mac. We do not sell personal data. We do not scrape passwords, keychain items, or API credentials from other apps.

2. Information the App processes on your device

App preferences & license state — settings, trial/license status, and activation data stored locally on your Mac.
System & accessibility permissions you grant — for example Screen Recording or Automation, only as needed for features you enable. macOS controls these permissions.
Feature data you opt into — such as Now Playing metadata from Apple Music, widget configuration, or terminal-session status provided by integrations you enable. This stays on your device unless a feature explicitly needs a network call you initiate.
Machine binding for licensing — a device identifier used to enforce the license seat limit (up to 3 Macs). This is used for license activation, not advertising.

3. Information collected for purchases

Payments for the lifetime license are processed by our payment partner Creem (and any other processors we clearly name at checkout). We do not receive or store your full card number. Creem may process billing details under its own privacy policy. We may receive order confirmation, email address, and license key metadata needed to deliver and support your purchase.

4. Website

This marketing site is static. We do not run advertising trackers on these pages. Your browser and hosting provider (GitHub Pages) may process standard technical logs (IP address, user agent, timestamps) as part of delivering the site.

5. What we do not do

We do not sell or rent your personal information.
We do not read your keychain or harvest credentials of third-party tools.
We do not invent or fabricate quota numbers; if a quota cannot be read, the App indicates that it is unavailable.

6. Data retention

Local App data remains on your Mac until you delete the App or clear its data. Purchase and license records needed for support and fraud prevention are retained as long as reasonably necessary to provide the product and comply with law.

7. Children’s privacy

The App is not directed to children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

8. International users

If you purchase through Creem, your payment data may be processed in jurisdictions where Creem and its processors operate. By using the App or buying a license, you understand that such processing may occur.

9. Changes

We may update this policy from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the App after an update means you accept the revised policy.
